Protection Verdicts is an independent independent decision site for protection plans for extended car warranties, home warranties, phone insurance, and more. We build calculators and verdicts and guides that answer one question well: is this protection plan worth it, based on the math and the company's claim record?
How our numbers work
Every calculator runs on expected repair costs, product reliability data, and complaint-pattern analysis drawn from public sources (BBB records, state AG actions, and federal databases). Each formula is checked against real-world examples before it ships. Premiums and hardware prices on this site are always shown with an "as of" date, because costs change with your region, model year, and product generation. We never publish a made-up statistic.
What we are not
We are not a warranty company, an insurance broker, or a law firm. Our numbers are financial estimates, not guarantees. For binding coverage decisions, read the full policy documents carefully and consult a licensed professional.

If a number on this site looks wrong, we want to know. Email [email protected] and we will check it against our sources and fix it quickly. Getting the math right is the whole point of this site.
